If you like a good, classic pub, there's one across the street from the British Museum that serves good beer and food, and has a nice ambiance. I think it is called the Museum Pub, but memory may not serve. I'd check to see, and offer more info on other parts of your trip, but I'm up north of you in Bellingham at the moment (normally I'm home in Houston).
