|Subject: Re: England in the Spring|
I went to London, York, the Lake District and Edinburgh in mid-April about 10 years ago. It was definitely not too cold although looking at my pictures I always seem to be wearing a jacket or sweater. I do remember a fair amount of rain. I got soaked one evening in the Lake District but you are going to experience rain anytime in the spring in England. And the rain produces those beautiful verdant hills and lovely fields of daffodils. You will see the Lake District at its best.
The only time I noticed crowds was Easter weekend. Otherwise, it was a delightful time to visit. I give April a thumbs up! As long as you pack your Goretex and polar fleece, you'll be fine.
