Hello Ziners, especially Francophiles,
It's not really an acknowledged path like the Lewis and Clark Trail or the California missions, but I've found that Ina Caro's book titled The Road From the Past describes a wonderful chronological tour of France. I strongly recommend it even for travelers who are only going to a few of the sights she describes -- the Roman ruins in Provence, the chateaux, the walled cities of the Dordogne, Paris itself. It's even fun for armchair travelers who are dreaming of their next trip. Dot in Silicon Valley |
