Bill, when you're in Puerto Vallarta, be sure to go to La Jolla de
Mismaloya just outside of town. That's where Night of the Iguana was
filmed -- at the hotel and the beach. I found it fascinating to walk
around there. The hotel starts at the top of a cliff and goes down the
side of the cliff. The beach is separated by a stream, with a little
wooden bridge, from a native village in the jungle-like area next door. I
watched them doing their wash by hand in the stream.
Also, in Puerto Vallarta, there's an area called Gringo Gulch that has the homes that Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton owned when they were there filming the movie. The homes are connected by a bridge.
