Subject: Blue Mountains Australia Winery B & B |
Hi Candice,
I was wondering which winery B& B you are staying at when you visit Australia. About two months ago we spent two nights at a B & B in Mudgee which is the wine district just west of the Blue Mountains. It is called Mudgee Homestead Guesthouse and I can highly recommend it. The owners are a young couple (she is Australian and he is from California) and they make you feel very welcome. Their breakfasts are delicious as is Saturday night dinner. The rooms are extremely comfortable and the view of the surrounding countryside is spectacular. One of the highlights is at dawn and dusk when there are at least 20-30 kangaroos in the front paddock drinking from the waterhole. The vineyards are all within a couple of kilometres. The website is http://www.mudgeehomestead.com.au Another website visitors to Australia might be interested in is http://www.wotif.com.au This site has some excellent discounted hotel rates. We generally use it, especially if we are staying in the capital cities and we also use it at work for staff who are travelling. I have never heard of anyone having any problems with it.
