I have to jump in on this one since I think our government is slowly but surely trying to find little ways to gather more and more information about the average person, and that a government having the information cannot be a good thing. It would appear that all of the screening going on has been successful. They finally found a way to screen checked luggage, which I thought all along should be done. That is enough.
One of the risks of living in a relatively free society is that we cannot insure against all risks. Let's recognize that if we want to continue to be free to move about and travel (the goal of most Ziners, I think :-)) that we will be accepting some risk.
