Charles deGaulle, as far as I've ever seen in any of my numerous trips there, does not appear to have a separate area for large boxes...but, do expect that you will find it will come off last so be prepared to wait, and wait, and wait...

As far as the cab, I've never encountered that problem, but I don't think it will be the easiest thing you have ever done with a Paris cabbie, but I don't have any suggestions.
