Subject: Re: Ever Feel Like An Unpaid Travel Agent?
Hi Chris,

I don't feel like a travel agent as much as I feel like a Travel Planner for friends. Seems I spend hours helping people plan their trips to Europe, Asia and Australia as well as helping people from other places plan their trips to NYC.

I suggest hotels, (and give tips on how to get the best rates) travel itineraries, shopping info and provide them with restaurant lists that are specific to either geography or cuisine. I help them maximize frequent flier points and select airlines. I advise them on local taxi and tipping customs and warn them about some local scams they may run into. Weather, dress code/customs and best ways for currency exchange are also part of my advice.

It does get exhausting!
