Subject: Re: Quebec City Hotels
Hi Gayle,

Tourists' Quebec City is quite small and you will want to park your car and walk. The upper town near the Chateau Frontenac is connected to the lower town by steep stairs (Casse-Cou - breakneck) as well as by funicular (cable car). There is a lovely street called Rue de la Petite Champlain, lined with shops.

The Hotel Dominion is on Rue St. Pierre in the Lower Town near the Musee de la Civilisation. Michelin gives a star to St. Pierre but I forget what the street looks like.

The Chateau Bellevue is in the Upper Town in an area with many small hotels (converted town houses). I stayed near there and the location was good.

This clickable map has both hotels marked on it. Just click on the blue dots. http://tinyurl.com/o1dc

One hotel that I have heard mentioned apart from Hotel Dominion and the Chateau is A Priori. It looks similarly priced to Dominion. A renovated building with a post-modernist feel!
