|Subject: Re: Sydney - New Years Eve|
Many thanks for that info. It couldnt' have come more timely! I was just thinking that if we couldn't get a room with a view, we'd opt for a dinner with a view instead.
I'm going to look into your suggestions. My plan is to have dinner and be able to walk back to our hotel. Since you know the location of the Park Hyatt out on that little peninsula, do you think we'd have trouble walking there or back to our hotel through the crowds of people? Perhaps we could have an earlier dinner somewhere and then go there for the drinks and canape's to avoid the we need a real meal hunger?
How's the food at the Waterfront restaurant? I'm not familiar with that place.
Is there a website where I might get information for the Harbour cruise dinner?
I'll also contact the hotels with Harbour views and see if their restaurants have dinners. I'm sure they do.
I would really appreciate it if you could post some of the offers here when they start to show up in the newspapers in about a month. That would help tremendously. Yes, I know it's ridiculously expensive, but if I'm going to travel halfway around the world for New Year's Eve, it would be silly to miss the fun.
I'm still hoping to get a room with a view.......*someone* has to
