Columbus Day is a major shopping holiday. Not only will the stores be open, but they will all have their famous Columbus Day Sales. Tell your friends to pick up a copy of our local newpaper, The Daily News and there will probably be coupons for 10-15-20% off at the major Dept stores like Macy's, Lord & Taylors and Bloomingdales.

All sites will be open, though museums that are generally closed on Monday's will stick to their schedule and remain closed.
