Subject: Driving from Siena to Levanto
Hello Jennifer

like some never ending working days, a 3-hour drive can be much much long! Don't think about a leisure drive on a smooth motorway at cruise speed, but imagine driving on narrow, winding and traffiked roads. Oh, the scenery is great and every little town is an invitation to stop, but you have little patience for that if you're in a hurry. Of course, if you don't want to stay in Cinque Terre but you want to see the place, you can leave very early and return late at night, but you'll miss the magic of CT's sunset, the easy strolling on the cliffs, the sitting on a bench facing the fishermen harbor.... Some Ziners are real fans of Lucca, a very nice town with beautiful villas and gardens, but even from there access to Cinque Terre would be very time-consuming. Bye
