|Subject: Re: Key West In January|
We were in Key West last February and had a GREAT time. We
really enjoyed Blue Heaven for dinner (check out the menu at
http://blueheavenkw.homestead.com/menus.html Outdoor dining
with music and tiki torches, or indoor dining - delicious!) We ate
at Pepe's for breakfast almost every day. Yummm! Great omelettes,
pancakes, and all kinds of delicious breakfast fare. I heard
they had good hair o' the dog drinks too, like bloody marys, though
we didn't partake.
We stayed at the Eden House so Pepe's was right around the corner from us. When we didn't wanted some place good but close by and casual, we headed over to Half Shell Raw bar http://www.halfshell-rawbar.com/men.php Pretty basic fare, but good and fresh, if you like seafood. We ate at a very delicious Italian place one night but the name escapes me.
I second the suggestion for visiting the Hemingway house. Really a neat experience. We checked out the butterfly conservatory too, which was a fun and different experience also.
