|Subject: Re: Vienna famous veal cutlet|
In case you need a website, here it is:
The famous one is the restaurant located in the Wollzeile. Another classic is the Griechenbeisl, also in the City (thatīs what the Old Town is called): http://www.griechenbeisl.at/ (english version at the bottom). Their Tafelspitze (a favourite of Franz Josef) is quite good.
And regarding cakes and coffee places ... tell her to avoid the Cafe Sacher. Too expensive. If I was going only to two or three places, I would make it the Cafe Hawelka, the Cafe Central and maybe the Prckel or the Braunerhof ...
Here you have some of my favourites (only some :)) )
K&K Hofzuckerb#ckerei Demel 1010 Wien, Kohlmarkt 14 Cafe Sperl 1060, Gumpendorferstrasse 11 Cafe Bruenerhof A-1010 Wien, Stallburggasse 2 Cafe Central A-1010 Wien, Herrengasse 14 Cafe Prckel A-1010, Stubenring 24 Cafe Diglas A-1010 Wien, Wollzeile 10 Cafe Griensteidl A-1010 Wien, Michaelerplatz 2 Cafe Hawelka A-1010 Wien, Dorotheergasse 6 Cafe Museum A-1010 Wien, Friedrichstrasse 6 Cafe Eiles A-1080 Wien, Josefst#dterstr.2
For cakes, Demel and any of the Aida places.
She can get a great brochure about the different coffee houses at the Tourist Office in Vienna.
