Subject: Re: Key West In January
Hi Winnie & Ziners, Having family in Miami, Key West is a favorite diversion of ours. For hotels our first choice is the Marquesa a wonderfully restored and eclectic 20 room hotel. Their restaurant is one of the best we have experienced in a resort town. Next choice for hotel is the Douglas House Bed & Breakfast a wonderful property in the heart of old city. For a more economical stay there is the Blue Marlin around 1200 Simonton St. Reasonable, clean, continental breakfast and in front is the bus stop for the Key West bus system.

Other Ziners have already mentioned several of our favorite eateries, allow me to include the Cafe Marquesa, Square One around 1000 Duval St. and Kelly's on Whitehead, owned and operated by Kelly McGillis and her husband and featuring a Pan-Am museum and brew pub. Margaritaville is worth a visit for a burger and margarita. The Southernmost Drugstore has a wonderful diner inside the pharmacy and offers incredible breakfast and lunch. Legend has it that this was the impetus for Buffet's Cheeseburger in Paradise There are several walking tours of the hidden delights of Key West, President Harry Truman's southern White House. Unfortunately or not there is also every chain restaurant you can think of.

Enjoy your trip, Vince and Gerry in Philadelphia
