|Subject: Maui - Hawaii|
We visited Maui for ten days in November 2000 and stayed at the Kapalua Villas on Kapalua Bay in western Maui. They were part of a resort complex consisting of three golf course, numerous beautiful beaches, about a dozen restaurants, the Ritz Carlton Hotel, the Kapalua Bay Hotel and the villas.
The villas were very comfortable and from our lanai we not only had views over one of the golf courses but also views across to another island (from memory, I think it was Molokai). Every six (or so) villas shared their own pool and a courtesy mini-bus was available at any time to take guests to the restaurants, beaches etc but we were only a short 10-15 minutes walk away in any case.
We hired a car for the ten days and used this to travel round the entire island. The Hana Coast is particularly spectacular.
