|Subject: London Hotels - Where are you going next?|
Can anyone recommend a hotel near the British Museum or the West End theaters for around $100 US or less per night?
British Air is offering the Park International Hotel in Kensington, near Bromption Road and Cromwell Road, for 60 GBP per night. Has anyone stayed there? It looks like a good neighborhood, but is a bit farther from the Museum than
I would like to stay.
Last time in London I stayed at the Thistle, on Bloomsbury Way, two blocks from the British Musuem. Location was good, but they would not give us the non-smoking room that they has promised. Said their obligation was only to give us non-smoking if it was available and it was not.
Continental matched the BA fare of $200 RT from Houston to London. So we took the Continental offer. They fly 777's which are more comfortable than 747's. 3, 3, 3, seating. Can stand up in all seats. Don't have to duck my head. Have an individual movie screen for each seat. Cost was $296 with taxes.
Next trip - we are going skiing at Copper Mountain in December.
