|Subject: Faroe Islands|
Are there any Ziners who have been to the Faroe Islands? These
islands have captured my imagination for a while and reading Tim
Severin makes it seem like a hop, skip and a jump to Newfoudnland. It
would be quite an experience to visit. They are a part of Canadian
history because the Hudson's Bay ships took on sailors in the
Shetlands and Orkney (hence our Scottish heritage) and their final
water supplies in the Faroes before heading to Canada.
I have checked out a lot of websites that show me the beauty of the islands, but too many of them are in Danish so I can't read them. I would like to know the best way of getting from here (Toronto) to there.
Help. Anyone been there or anyone who has more knowledge of the string of islands? Lucy in Toronto
