Subject: Re: Modern architecture
Well - I've already outed myself as a fan of architecture - either very old or new ;)))

Berlin was great for me this year as I was interested what changed between 1989 (in May that year I was the last time there) and now.... And there were so many new areas and buildings. What I forgot in my last post: A new building between Brandenburger Tor and the Adlon hotel (owned by a bank I think). Inside (no problem to get in) is a kind of inside sculpture by Frank O. Gehry iirc - should remind you of Bilbao. ;) Then of course the Jewish museum by Daniel Liebeskind.....

When I travel I often watch out for interesting building of that kind but I also like roman-style churches e.g....... On the same list of interesting points belong nice parks and gardens.

And yes - as those are very interesting things for me I do a detour for them of course. E.g. the church in Ronchamp by Le Corbusier or the utopic saltworks in Arc-et-Senans were the only things I visited thoroughly in Franche-Comte.......

Baerbel.
