Subject: Re: Paris - Venice?
Hi Marlene,

What a decision you have to make! Both cities are special but with 10 days, I'd cast a vote for Paris if only for the cuisine, and with many nationalities represented in the city, your food choices will be more varied than in Venice.

Transportation out of Paris is easier and faster than out of Venice. Of course, Paris has so much to offer with some of the greatest artwork in the world, grand boulevards, neighbourhood bistros and walks along the Seine. Versaille, Giverney, Chartres and Rheims are in relatively close proximity for daytrips.

The TGV is a bonus as it will take you to other cities in a very short time. The TGV timetable shows Paris-Lyon in under two hours and Paris-Lille in about an hour. Paris to London via the Eurostar is scheduled at only three hours.
