Subject: Re: Italy in winter? |
Hi Amee
January/February is full winter wherever in Italy. While the North suffer from fog and ice, the Centre and South are usually blessed by warmer weather but there's nothing like going to the beach. The seawater is freezing, of course, and most of the resorts are closed. Unless you like walking on deserted and unkept beaches I'd suggest a different approach. Maybe your child would love as well playing with the snow: it's the right time of the year and the mountain resorts offer a wide choice of entertainment for all the family, like sleighing, spa pools, excursions and shows. Talking about the area I know better, Trentino and Alto Adige, Cortina is of course one of the top resorts. Other nice towns are San Candido, Dobbiaco, Brunico and Merano. My children used to enjoy those places throughout the year. Bye, Paolo Trieste, Italy |
