Subject: Re: Reason why we travel?

You nailed it perfectly: if we got the travel bug from a friend or relative, it's our job to infect the young'uns of the family with the bug as well.

As we were watching Most Precious Grandchild, age 5, romping with with her peers at Muddy's Water Park on the Esplanade at Cairns, my adorable daughter-in-law said, Mom, you'd better be writing down stuff about your trips for Kylie! If you get stung by a box jelly on your next dive, she'll never know all the places you've been. There you have it. She's off to a good start on collecting new experiences, but there's a whole wonderful world she'll want to explore. I wish my peripatetic grandmother had taken time to write about her wanderings!
