|Subject: Re: Parking in Florence, Italy|
A few years ago we couldn't find any paid parking in Florence - all full. So we parked on the street (Via di Novoli) near the Fiat plant. We just grabbed the legal spot and then took a taxi to our reserved time at the Uffizi. We even had to ask the taxi driver to show us on our map where we were! We walked back - a bit of a walk but interesting. One good thing - the taxis are allowed to drive into the historical centre of Florence. I don't remember whether we would have been able to park overnight.
