Hi, everyone!
Marlene Johnson mentioned she reserved an apartment at the web site www.an-apartment-in-paris.com In October 2002 we spent 8 days in the Studio 1 in the Marais district. It was small, and the step climbing is a good exercise for the heart! It was a wonderful location, quiet and Jean-Marie was very welcoming. So, Marlene, say hi to Jean-Marie from Helio and David of Vancouver! The only little problem we had was with the hot water in the shower! Jean-Marie promised to get it fixed! The hot water did not last for very long and it was hard to control. I also saw my first electrically powered toilet! It works fine! The studio had everything one needs and on arrival there was juice in the fridge! We left some flowers for Jean-Marie on our departure. Jean-Marie was very accommodating and you should have no worries about his honesty. If you stay at the Studio 1 in Marais make sure to know exactly where you are going, as it is in a building in a tiny street and at first we could not find it, even though I am fluent in French and asked people on the street where the street was. The Parisians were very nice in trying to help, but even they did not know the street. We took the train from the airport and transfered to the metro and then walked to the apartment. We were very near but missed at first because the street is narrow and short. All the best and enjoy Paris, I wish I were going again! Helio in Vancouver, BC |
