Subject: Re: Paris favorites?
Hi

A favorite of ours are flea markets and we think those in Paris are among the best. The Marche aux Puces Clingnacourt is always worth visiting for the incredible array of antiques: paper, lines, clothing, furniture, dishes, everything.

We found another this summer: there is a monthly flea in front of the Bourse. I wish I had the dates, but they should not be hard to find if you are interested.

We also like to see photography, and some of the best exhibits of contemporary photography are at the old (not new) Bibliotheque

Nationale. These change regularly.

The Foucalt's Pendulum exhibit at the Pantheon was fascinating, as was the display of the Lady and the Unicorn tapestries at the Musee de Cluny.

What are your particular interests? I could go on about architecture,

shoe stores, chocolate shops, gardens, bakeries, paintings or whatever. We really like Paris and have been three times in three years.

Disappointments: hardly any, but I had expected more from the courtyard of the Palais Royale.

Debbie in Pittsburgh Ps. It sounds corny but we never skip a boat ride on the Seine. We like the smaller boats that leave from the Pont Neuf (Vedettes Pont Neuf).
