|Subject: Music from the Movies that Transports|
All the talk of movies got me thinking about magical, 'transporting' music from the movies. (If we are transported, do we travel and does this subject therefore fit TheTravelzine criteria for discussion?) The wonderful music in Cinema Paradiso's kissing scene is 'transporting'. During this segment all the kissing scenes that the priest had censored out of movies to be shown in the little theatre are pieced together for a beautiful movie moment, made more magical by Ennio Morricone's score. It brings tears to my eyes.
The scenery in 'The Mission' is beautiful as is the haunting 'Gabrielle's Oboe' - also Ennio Morricone's work.
