I can recommend the Hotel Le Clemont, near the St Germain des Pres subway station, just off Blvd St Germain.

This is a small 2* establishment that is clean and well run with a superb location. But most important, it is a block from Gerard Mulot, a patisserie with sensational Macarons. My mouth is watering. If I recall correctly, Linda & Don had a delicious veggie quiche here as well.
