You might consider the cost of buying the euro, the difference between buying and selling. OANDA has the interbank rate as well as the typical cash rate on its calculator. http://www.oanda.com/convert/classic
We have looked at our records for money taken from cash machines overseas and compared the exchange rate the bank gives on these transactions with the rate for consumer rates. The rate using the bank machines has been better. We did worse buying the euros ourselves from our bank at home or other foreign currency bureau.
