Subject: Re: Euro vs Dollar
Hi Carrie!

When we were in Egypt several years ago, found ATMs in larger cities and places that catered to tourists. As in most countries, the off beat places want cash - their cash or Dollars! For non European countries, I've taken a fair amount of Dollars ($500 ?) , about the same in traveler's checks and some basic amount ($100) in their money. I use my ATM and a credit card. However, I do use a money belt, courtesy of Rick Steves. It just becomes part of my clothing. Carry credit card, ATM and pass port in it as I rarely end up at a hotel with a safe. If I don't need the cash or the travelers checks, there they are for home expenses or the next trip.
