|Subject: Re: Walking tours in Ireland|
Hi Sheila and Ziners.
I was in Ireland for just 3 weeks and it was not enough. A few walking trips that I did on my own are:
Walking around Howth. Looking over Dublin from its hills is really fascinating during the sunset.
Walking about 8 km from Greystones (place where De Valera lived) to Bray along the impressive sea bays is also more than just pleasant.
Visiting one of Aran islands by feet is recommended - full day trip.
Walking around Killarney park - full day walk. Start early.
Just 2-3 km of walk along the green surrounding from Cahir to the tiny beatuful! Swiss cottage. A real must!!!
Many other excursion, especially in the Antrim coast, Kerry Ring, Connemara!, Dingle, Bantry, are recommended. But you have to remember that your time is limited and Ireland is a very rich place. In many cases it's worth to take their guided excursions to be able to see most in a limited time.
You're welcome to ask me more questions.
