Stonehenge? How to?
There is now a barbed wire fence around Stonehenge. Last time I visited & walked within the stones was in 1980. However, the good news is that not far from Stonehenge is a little village called Avebury. There you can walk within the stones along with the sheep which graze there. It is a very untouristy, unspoiled little village. They do have a pamphlet of info about the stones. Great little church, too, where there has been a church for hundreds of years. Nice little pub for lunch, too. Can't remember exact directions to the village but it's on maps, a bit west of Stonehenge.
Carol Bailey snowing again in N. Idaho, USA. Hurrah!
