Subject: Re: Cutting tools on airlines
Hi everyone: Last month on Northwest flying from Grand Rapids to Phoenix, my clover medallion which is a tool used for sewing and cutting thread (a round razor sealed into a decorative metal circle) and made to wear around your neck was confiscated. The gentleman explained that they were a potential weapon although he was unable to open it or find a way to open. I have taken this to Europe several times without an trouble, however, I was wearing it as a necklace at the time. He did say I could bring on scissors with a rounded tip. Fiskars makes a childrens scissor that cuts quite well and are fairly inexpensive. Good luck Barb in Grand Rapids
