That might be a tough time to find a hotel room in Siena - it's one of the busiest weeks there, the week before Il Palio (July 2, I think). And it would be a shame to be in Siena so close to Il Palio and miss it - it's a great time to be there. Some of the trial races might be there during your days, and it's easier to see what's going on during the trials.

Wish I could help on hotel rooms - we were fortunate enough to stay in an apartment just outside the city walls during Il Palio two years ago.
