Ziners,
I'm still laughing, albeit a little painfully, over the following experience: Several years ago, I was staying at the Helmsley Palace in New York City with my (now ex-) girlfriend. Her habit was to always have a cup of very strong tea in the morning, and to this end usually requested 3 tea bags with the pot of hot water. In the Palace Hotel, a breakfast cup of tea delivered via room service cost about $8. We did get the three bags, and the one pot of water, but of course we were charged for 3 morning tea services, i.e. $24 for one cup of very strong tea. Joel, in Chicago |
