With a few hours to spend, you can easily walk around the core
Vienna, admire the architecture, sit in a cafe and sip Viennese
or you could visit an entirely different type of museum - the
KunstHaus Wien. Before you walk through the doors, you will
yourself in an intriguing environment. The building is crooked
our view and the first floor mimics nature (wiggly floors).
contains a permanent Hundertwasser exhibition (Hundertwasser
in Vienna in 1928 and died in 2000) and temporary exhibitions
avant-garde and modern artists. It is a fascinating gallery.
visited in 1994, the gallery had a Robert Mappplethorpe exhibition
(which was subsequently the target of censors in the U.S.).
to the museum will also get you into one of the residential
neighbourhoods of Vienna. The museum location is KunstHaus
Weissgerberstrasse 13, A-1030 Vienna. It's a few blocks from
