Subject: Re: McDonald's in a foreign country
Ziners, I never eat at McDonald's (Mc not Mac) - just don't like the food and find the coffee wretched. However, sometimes I crave familiar food. While in Hong Kong, we wanted french fries and dropped into a pub for some really tasty fries and a grilled cheese. One day in Bangkok, it was hot, hot, hot and all we wanted to do was find a cold beer in an air conditioned place. Lo and behold, we were in front of a Hard Rock Cafe so in we went. When last in London, I was thrilled to find a Starbucks in Covent Garden. I love the steamed water they use to make tea. Sometimes you just gotta do it. Lucy, Toronto
