Subject: Re: McDonald's in a foreign country |
Bonjour, Paul and ziners,
When my daughter and I were in Paris last summer (me in the hospital, and her traipsing around Paris taking care of things and visiting me), she often ate at McDonald's to save on money, as our vacation money was having to be extended beyond the time we had planned to return home. Maybe the reason McDonald's is so popular in France is that they have French versions of our food on the menu. She often got the croques, which were part of the special of the day. Sometimes they were ham and cheese or they could be a dessert-type, but she said they were very good and inexpensive. She didn't tell me about other French-style food they had, but she did mention that they also serve wine.
So all is not lost!
