|Subject: Re: McDonald's in a foreign country|
i know that food is very important to most of you but it is not a priority with me so that i try to visit mcdonald's where ever i am in order to purchase a take out salad to eat outdoors on a bench in a park, or in my hotel room. many countries do not always have a take away culture and i find that it is quite convenient to stand on line, point to what i want and immediately pay for it. in bolognia i was staying at a posh hotel and even knew enough to hide my mcdonald's paper bag in a tote when i strode through the beautiful lobby with my garden salad, bread stix and packet of dressing. the price of a mc burger is a very good economic indicator of the relative price of a product in a certain country in relation to the dollar.
