|Subject: Re: Italian Lakes area/GTG?|
Hi all. This is in general response to questions about Lake
Como but in
specific response to John Wiernikowski's question about restaurants.
First, I dearly and deeply love Le Catene (The Chains), a trattoria that is generally known and centrally located (Como Town is not large), so your hotel can direct you as I don't know the street address off hand.
Second, we took the funicular to Brunate, a little town above the lake and had a wonderful lunch at Il Cacciatore. The funicular is around the bend in the lake from where you get the water taxis.
We are looking forward to eating at both places when we go next month.
