Subject: Doors Open Toronto
Hi Ziners,

Doors Open is an opportunity to see architecture gems or oddities in the city of Toronto. Over 100 buildings of architectural and/or historic significance open their doors to the public for this city-wide celebration. This year, Doors Open Toronto celebrates its 5th anniversary with a special focus on post-1945 contemporary Canadian architecture and architects.

In past years my friends and I have seen grand boardrooms of big banks, theatres, private homes on Jarvis Street, the ballroom at the King Edward Hotel (unrenovated), several architectural offices and the harbour commission.

This year I hope to visit the Toronto Dominion Centre designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. The price is right - free! and no registration is required.
