Dear Bill and fellow Ziners,
There is a marvelous new hotel in old town Quebec, near the waterfront, called Auberge Saint Antoine. To call it a B& B is to call the Queen Mary II just a cruise ship. Not inexpensive, but worth every penny, in my estimation. The interior design is truly well done, incorporating elements of old and new very creatively. During renovation, artifacts from 17th C. Quebec that were uncovered under the original foundation, have been preserved and wonderfully displayed throughout the building. Our room ($249CD) on two levels, had a heated bathroom floor, a dressing room and one wall of old stone work replicating the building¹s original structure. An expanded continental breakfast in the second floor lobby was well presented, and the coffee (café latte) was excellent.
