Subject: Re: Barcelona Hotels, Restaurants and Sights
Hi Lesley,

I would recommend the Hotel Continental Palacete http://www.hotelcontinental.com/home_palacete.htm

It was recommended by a Ziner but early last summer they did not have a/c so we did not stay there. (I would not recommend the hotel that we did stay at.) We did go to see it and it is a charming small hotel. They do have A/C now. It is very close to the Ramblas but on the other side of the Placa de Catalunya in a quieter Eixample area.

Barcelona is a gorgeous, first class city that you will enjoy. There is a tourist bureau on the Placa de Catalunya and most hotels have brochures with things to do. Do not miss any Gaudi architecture. The tours are very interesting. The Picasso and especially the Miro museums should not be missed. We were there a week and did not see everything we wanted.
