|Subject: Barcelona Tours|
We've also taken one of the walking tours in Barcelona that Doug recommended (http://www.myft.net/MyFT_HTML/index.html). As I recall, the fees were 30 Euros a person for a four-hour walking tour, which included a surcharge because there were only three of us on the tour. We selected the tour of ateliers (or talleres), and were delighted that we ended up having the tour guide to ourselves (my husband and I, and our 27-year-old son). Our guide took us to visit with various craftpeople in the Barrio Gotico, giving us a tour of the buildings we passed along the way. We were not pressured to buy from the craftspeople, and learned much about the art of jewelry making, silk screening, and furniture refinishing. We ended the tour having a drink with her at a tiny cheese store run by a Welsh woman who specializes in farmhouse cheeses from the Spanish countryside.
