Subject: Re: Solmelia / Tryp hotels in Paris
Hi, Michelle... I'm afraid we've never stayed in any of the Tryp hotels in Paris, but if they're equally good, I'd go by location. I just looked up the Tryp de Saxe, and it looks like it's very near the Place de Breteuil, where there's supposed to be a very nice, not too expensive restaurant, the Bistro de Breteuil. If you should decide to eat there, though, I'm told reservations are a must, as it's very popular. Here's the website:

My husband and I walked on the Avenue Breteuil last time we were in Paris, and thou we haven't eaten at the restaurant, we'd like to. The view of Les Invalides from the Avenue Breteuil is beautiful. It made for a very pleasant walk, and would probably be more so, when trees have leaves on them -- they'd just been trimmed when we were there. Have a look... this is what it would probably look like in June:
