Subject: Learn Better Italian or add a bit of French for Paris
Hi,

I agree with Lucy and Lisa. In my experience communicating in French is the very best way to go in Paris, making a big difference......

I have found that most Italians speak a poor French, heavens know why. Even when they say they speak French it is quiet bad, loaded with a heavy accent, instead their English is in comparison better. As the French they expect to be addressed in Italian.

This is our situation with our Italian family, we understand most of what they say in Italian but if I try to reciprocate in Spanish they say they hardly understand anything.

In my experience so far, one currency, but many languages and apparently they wish to remain that way.
