|Subject: Re: Dubrovnik|
My husband & I just got back from a Mediterranean cruise which included a day in Dubrovnik. The city wall surrounds the old town, cost the 2 of us 9 Euros (they took Euros in addition to Croatian currency) & was 1 1/4 miles long. The walls in some parts weren't all that high, so I'd be cautious on it with kids. The views of the city & ocean from the city walls were great!
Most of the tile roofs have been redone as a result of war damage. It's easy to see the sights in the old town, as many are grouped together. The main street is of marble & narrow side streets go uphill on both sides from the main street. The city is beautiful & the people seemed very friendly to tourists. It seemed like it would be a good place to return to.
Have fun! Val in the San Francisco Bay Area
