We did the Grand Circle Rhone River Cruise/Paris/Nice trip with the
Loire Valley pre-trip extension last September and it was
fantastic. The ship and crew were wonderful and we thought the food
on the ship was better than on ocean cruises we've done with Cunard,
Celebrity, and Holland America. That is probably due to having to
serve relatively few people and buying fresh things along the way.
The beds on the ship were some of the most comfortable we'd ever
slept in. They fold up and reveal seats for during the day which
weren't that great, but you're rarely in the cabin during the day.
There are many included excursions which were quite good, but one of
the things we like about Grand Circle is that there is plenty of
time for exploring on your own also. There were no water level
problems on the Rhone is Sept. Let me know if you have any other
questions I might be able to help with.
