Hi Ziners from semi-sunny FL,
We are having a very busy 2004 - and like it that way!
We just returned from our 21st Windjammer Barefoot Cruise. 13 nts on the "Mandalay" from Antigua to Grenada plus hotel nights on each end. Had sailed with the Captain and several of the crew, plus some of our Jammer friends were also on board.
Leaving Friday for N. TX for the High School graduation of youngest grandson and visiting with several other relatives including the husband's 97 year old mom.
I am leaving 25 August for my third trip to Ireland along with an agent friend from Canada and two friends from here. (Husband doesn't want to go to Ireland so he gets to house sit)!! Really looking forward to it - such a beautiful place with friendly and helpful people! It is an escorted tour because I am far too wimpy to drive on those roads. The width of a toothpick with a wall on one side and big bushes on the other.
We (the husband is going on this one) will be leaving 21 Sep flying to Oslo, taking the train "Norway in a Nutshell" to Bergen and boarding the "Trollfjord" cruising the West Coast of Norway up to Kirkenes and back. Cruise line is Norwegian Coastal Voyages that we went with on the Antarctica/Chilean Fjords in Dec 03. Great group!
After that I guess we will be home except for Christmas holidays in N. TX, but we are already looking at 2005 - possibly a Trans Siberian Train trip and I have a tour going in August to Scotland.
I really enjoy reading about everyone's travels on the Zine and all the recommendations are helpful to me personally AND professionally! Any suggestions as to what not to miss in Bergen and other tips will be appreciated.
