|Subject: Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada|
An interesting article from the Telegraph about Halifax, Nova Scotia in eastern Canada. The new budget air service from the UK to Canada, Zoom has flights to Halifax and makes Halifax a cheaper destination for Brits.
The title, "Welcome to a small but Titanic town" refers to the Titanic memorabilia in the maritime museum. There is a strong connection betwee Halifax and the ship. Most of the rescued went to Halifax and the cemetery has the grave of J. Dawson. http://tinyurl.com/2xmkn Prices are in pounds sterling.
It has been some years since I've been in Halifax but it is a small but lively city with wonderful sights nearby. The article mentions Lunenburg, well worth visiting. We loved Cape Breton Island which is also in Nova Scotia. The fortress of Louisbourg, a living history museum is great and the Cabot Trail is renowned for its fabulous views.
