Subject: Re: suggestions for Andalusia
Hi Jonathon and Ziners,

We stayed at the Paradore in Ronda last summer. It is a new one, but very beautiful overlooking the gorge. We also ate dinner and breakfast there which was very good. We ate dinner outside overlooking the gorge and the mountains as the sun went down. Very romantic. It is a lovely little town. Also go to the bull ring and the museum attached to it.

In Seville we stayed at the Tryp Marcarena. It was a very nice room for 50 euro per night. Check the Solmelia hotel site for their specials http://www.solmelia.com I was not crazy about Seville but it is interesting. Given the choice again, I might choose Cordoba. There are lots of hotels in Seville.

There is a lovely white village called Frigiliana which is very close to the Costa Del Sol. It was about a 40 minute drive Torremolinos. You can also see how quickly everything along the Spanish coast is being developed.

Be sure to get your tickets for the Alhambra before you go. They can be purchased online. I don't know how crowded it will be at Thanksgiving but you have to go at a specific time to see the Nasaria (I think that is the name--the Moor castle.) but you can wander around all day to see the other things. We stayed at the Melia Granada which was a 4 star hotel, but I have heard great things about the Parador and also the Hotel America is on the ground of Alhambra.

You might want to check the archives for my report to TheTravelzine as well as a lot of other information that Ziners have posted about Spain.

You will have a wonderful time.
